Furnishing the Lanvin Haute Couture Workshop
The creation of new haute couture designs, as in many fields, is a long process and takes place across several offices.
We had the joy of working on the furnishing of the Lanvin Workshops and of experiencing the different stages of this process.
Starting from a sketch of a garment, the study office (furniture shown below) works on product development, drafts the pattern, assembles a toile, and carries out the final patterning.

The pattern is then reviewed by the production planning department (shown opposite), which confirms its feasibility.
This department defines the manufacturing stages and the time required for production. It also analyzes production costs and determines the unit costs.
The pattern is then sent to the production floor for cutting, fusing, assembly, finishing, pressing, and final quality control.
The Lanvin fashion house was founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, making it the oldest French fashion house still in operation.
As with our other Auboi furniture, we have used solid beech for the frames and MDF for the tops and drawer units, ensuring the piece’s quality and durability.
