Sit-Stand Desk with Solid Wood Top: Ergonomic and Elegant
Arthur’s Sit-Stand Desk
Being comfortable at work or while working from home is essential to maintaining both physical and mental well-being. The right setup — especially the right furniture — helps create a healthy, productive, and sustainable work environment, even at home.
The wooden height-adjustable desk combines functionality, style, and wellness. It’s a smart choice for anyone looking to take care of their health while cultivating a warm, efficient, and eco-conscious workspace. A practical and responsible investment, it meets today’s demands for comfort and ergonomics.
One of the main advantages of the height-adjustable desk is its ergonomic design. This latest range of furniture addresses the growing demand for comfort and health in the workplace. Thanks to its height-adjustable system, it can be tailored to individual body types, offering a personalised working posture.
Equipped with an electric height-adjustment mechanism, it transitions smoothly from sitting to standing, enhancing comfort, focus, and overall well-being. The desk’s height ranges from 62 cm to 127 cm and can be precisely adjusted, centimetre by centimetre, via a digital control panel.
This helps protect the joints, reduce eye and muscle strain, and improve productivity. Users can effortlessly adjust the desktop height to suit different activities such as writing, drawing, or video conferencing.
The solid wood work surface of this sit-stand desk measures 150 x 70 cm.
The quality of the wood used for the desktop adds both durability and aesthetic appeal. Wood brings warmth and elegance to the workspace while remaining strong and long-lasting. A well-crafted wooden desk stands the test of time without losing its strength or natural charm.
This eco-friendly, renewable material fits seamlessly into both professional and home environments, adding a natural and calming touch.
In terms of comfort, the wooden sit-stand desk stands out for its stability and refined finish. Rounded corners, a smooth surface, and a sturdy structure make it a pleasure to use every day. When paired with an ergonomic chair or an anti-fatigue mat, it becomes a true ally for creating a healthy, functional, and harmonious workspace.
This sit-stand desk is as much a work tool as it is an aesthetic element that enhances the overall quality of a room.
Staying true to its commitment to well-being and space optimisation, Auboi has designed this desk with three drawers mounted beneath the tabletop, offering practical storage for pens, notebooks, and other accessories. These drawers keep essentials within easy reach while keeping the desktop clear.
The result is a tidy, organised workspace that promotes better focus and a more serene working environment.
The internal dimensions of the drawers on either side of the central drawer are 62 x 37 x 49 cm, while the central drawer measures 62 x 56 x 49 cm on the inside. The drawer fronts and frames are made from solid beech, and the backs are crafted from white-lacquered plywood.
Having an uncluttered desk avoids distractions and promotes clarity of mind.
The desk frame is made of steel, allowing it to support up to 130 kg. The height is adjustable between 62 and 127 cm, and can be set precisely, centimetre by centimetre, using a digital control panel. This panel can be mounted on either the left or right side, according to your preference.
Thanks to its memory function, up to 4 height positions can be saved. A child lock can also be activated on the panel for added safety.
The sit-stand desk frame comes with a 5-year warranty.

The Sit-Stand Desk: Why Choose the Arthur Desk?
A family creation!
This desk was inspired by Arthur, who spent long hours working from home at a regular table. Like many of us, Arthur needed a comfortable workspace — but also something beautiful, since the desk would be placed in the living area.
Stepping away from our usual designs, Martial asked Arthur exactly what he wanted and why this type of desk mattered to him.
1. Health: A Parent’s First Concern
First and foremost, it’s good for your health. Sitting all day isn’t natural for the human body. Numerous studies show that prolonged sedentary behavior increases the risk of back pain, fatigue, and even cardiovascular disease.
A sit-stand desk encourages posture changes, which boost circulation, strengthen core muscles, and reduce tension in the back and shoulders. Alternating between sitting and standing — even every 30 minutes — can make a real difference.
2. Focus and Productivity
Standing also helps with concentration and productivity. When you stand, your brain becomes more alert. You often feel more engaged and energetic. Arthur noticed this himself: “When I stand up for a bit, I get new ideas!” Changing posture breaks the routine and stimulates creative thinking.
3. Ergonomics
From an ergonomic point of view, the sit-stand desk adapts to every moment of the day. With its easy height adjustments, you can always find the position that suits you best. You learn to listen to your body, take smart breaks, and build a healthier daily rhythm. It’s true made-to-measure comfort.
4. Aesthetic Appeal
Wood brings a timeless, natural warmth to any workspace. Its unique grain and varied tones create a calming atmosphere that enhances focus. Beyond its elegance, wood blends seamlessly into any interior — from minimalist modern to cozy rustic. A wooden desk isn’t just functional; it becomes a true piece of lasting, living décor.
5. Sustainability
And finally, we can’t ignore the ecological and economic benefits. There’s less need to buy extra accessories to ease back pain or to replace your chair every couple of years. Built with durable materials, a sit-stand desk is an investment — but one that pays off over time.
That’s why this “funny” desk that goes up and down is becoming increasingly popular — at home and in the office.
In Conclusion
The sit-stand desk isn’t just a trendy piece of furniture. It’s a mindset — a way to improve our well-being, productivity, and even family life.
Thank you, Arthur, for the great idea!
